ABOUT US

PASTORS

Pastors Tom and Elizabeth Gutierrez are founding pastors of Viento Fuerte Church. Establishing Viento Fuerte together in September 2003, Tom and Elizabeth have raised five children and 14 beautiful grandchildren.

Tom, born and raised in Waco, has worked in lay duty since his teens in his grandfather’s church as a musician and teacher.  His desire to help and work in the church was so rewarding that it made the way for him to grow and expand his knowledge with an associates degree in Biblical studies and ministry education as well as other areas such as serving as drama director and music director. Both Tom and Elizabeth served as children’s pastor.

Elizabeth, born in Campeche Mexico, has various degrees including one in Child Development.  Working as a social worker within the Waco public schools and later gaining ministry education at Truett Seminary, “Pastora” Elizabeth has a strong passion for evangelism to reach everyone from children to adults and enjoys training teachers for the ministry.

Their willingness to serve, all the years of experience and hands on practice with a heart full of love for God and the community is what is making the way for Viento Fuerte to grow and make an impact in the community.
